Why I’m building this

I’m Kyle Brierley, founder of TheTechStack. I’m building this to help teams work through the decisions that sit between an AI demo and a useful deployment: what connects to what, who can access it, how to test it, and who owns it when something breaks.

My aim is to give you something you can bring into a real planning conversation: a documented example, a clearer tradeoff, or a question your team needs to answer before it commits.

How to read the evidence

TheTechStack documents what companies actually run — the tools, the tradeoffs, the migrations — from evidence: engineering blogs, job postings, conference talks, public infrastructure fingerprints, and interviews. We prioritize technical sources and distinguish company statements, vendor-published evidence, and independent reporting.

Stack records link to evidence and carry confidence labels:confirmed (company said it), inferred (strong technical evidence), or reported (credible third party). If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly. If it's your company, we'd love for you to verify your record.

Research and drafting use AI assistance. Source-backed observations, editorial recommendations, and fictional examples serve different purposes, and we label them accordingly. Proposed tests are not test results. A completed planning brief is not evidence that a system is ready for production.
